Farming For Ever

Författare:
"In farming, people have always mattered"

Patrick Evans grew up on a country estate in Herefordshire, took a wartime degree in agriculture at Cambridge and worked with the Essex War Agricultural Executive Committee. He gained experience in both England and France before taking on the family farm at Whitbourne for his brother Edward as manager, and later as partner.

Through a lifetime of creating links with farmers in many countries, he examines some of the longer-term perspectives and asks: “Is farming a way of life that is past, or a powerful inspiration for the future?”

“Pat Evans makes a unique contribution to a better understanding of human endeavor to care for the countryside, and he expresses so clearly, over a world canvas, the important role farming families can play in today’s society…

“I thoroughly recommend this book to every student of the history of agriculture and rural life, and to those who care for future development,” Lord Plumb, from his foreword to the book.
