Climax of history

The next logical step for mankind...

Three alternatives confront us-war and destruction, totalitarian regimes or the building of a new world society. The author analyses historic trends culminating at the present rime, which point to this third alternative as the next logical step for mankind.

After more than 6,000 years of development, civilization is faced with collapse. The only alternative ta catastrophe, barbarism and a Dark Age-possibly to the extinction of mankind-would seem to be the coml.ng of a type of society more advanced than civilization as we know it.

The author maintains that significant experiments in building such a society have taken place during the last 2,000 years. He traces their effect on the social relations and culture of the world around, and concludes that there is a pattern of society which could be carried into effect by a "creative minority" with a global strategy and the necessary dynamism to overcome the challenge of materialistic totalitarian forces. The author believes that an examination of the world scene reveals that this is already taking place.
