Every morning city dwellers,
Factory workers and bank tellers
Go to earn their keep in jobs from nine to five.
And the housewife hangs out washing,.
Scrubs the floor and does the cooking,
And keeps the family happy and alive.
But if we'd care to live more selflessly,
Just starting in the family,
We'd help to build the world of peace
For which we strive.
What the ordinary man can do,
Perhaps this is the missing clue,
Cause most of us on earth Are ordinary people,
Living our lives the same thing every day;
But ordinary men can do extraordinary things
If only we would let God show the way.
