A worldwide moral rearmament movement spreads rapidly across multiple nations and languages
# Back Cover Description
A hurricane of common sense is sweeping across the world. The manifesto "Ideology and Coexistence" has reached seventy-three million homes across North America, Scandinavia, Europe, and beyond, already translated into twenty-four languages. It presents the modern world with an unmistakable choice: Moral Rearmament or communism.
General Henri Guisan, who commanded Swiss forces during World War II, endorsed this movement as a unique means of transforming nations' behavior. In his final public statement, he called for his people to draw from their traditions an unshakeable resolve to defend their inherited freedom. His widow testified that Moral Rearmament provided powerful support in his final years.
Inspired by the vision of Moral Rearmament, a coal miner from Germany's Ruhr Valley wrote a play called "Hope"—a work that moved Chancellor Adenauer so deeply that he dispatched the playwright and his companions to prepare his visits to England and France. Adenauer declared that a people with ideology is always on the offensive, while a people without one is complacent and dying. This powerful movement cuts through ancient prejudices and divisions, bringing renewed hope to millions worldwide.
