Ismar Villavicencio

Former 'Gente Que Avanza' member and a For A New World team member

Ismar is part of the For A New World team and is the site's main Spanish translator.

He and his wife, Fabiana, and three children (Matías Ishmael, Thaís and Áhron Lorenzo) live in Uruguay since 2002 when they were invited to work as full-timers with Gente que Avanza. The two of them, joined by other former cast members, where responsible to run the Training Center, aiming to bring a new life perspective to young people within a 10 months theoretical and practical program.

Over the last years he has remain obedient to the call from God to rebuild the spirit and essence of IofC in the Latin American region. So far are keeping, for almost 3 years, the Ilisten / Yo Escucho / Eu Escuto online weekly gatherings in Spanish and Portuguese, which gather around 30 to 40 people, from different LatAm countries to seek inspiration and connection to deliver answers to the needs of today, both personal and global.

He feels that part of his calling is to build a space in Latin America when programs for youth, and not that young people, could be available -each individual pursuing his/her personal calling- and come and connect IN + OUT + UP, by practicing the moments of silence to hear the inner voice and then, to find the team and the ways to remain faithful to his mission. This space or center will be open to everybody that is open to explore the guidance principles of IofC in their lives and to help others to do so.
