Basil Entwistle

Author of an important book on post World War II period of Japan's history.

Basil Entwistle graduated from Oxford University with first class honours in philosophy, politics and economies. He left a teaching career to work with Moral Re-Armament in Europe, Asia and North America. Invited to Japan in 1950 by post-war leaders, he and his wife and two children lived there through eight years of dramatic moral, political and economic regeneration. During World War II the author served at U.S. Air Force European headquarters and edited three of its publications. In the 1960’s he returned to the field of education as founder and first chairman of Mackinac College in Michigan.
