Frank Buchman made an important contribution to reconciliation and peacebuilding after the Second World War. He was honoured by France, Germany, Japan and the Philippines for his efforts at creating international understanding. Here is Buchman with French statesman, Robert Schuman, one of the founders of the EU --- Buchman played a significant role in encouraging Schuman to believe in the possibility of peace between France and German.
