James H. Laue

He was appointed by President Carter to the commission that led to the United States Institute of Peace. He was a pioneer in the field of Conflict Resolution, and became the Lynch Professor of Conflict Resolution at George Mason University in Virginia. He was selected as the first Academic Director of the Caux Scholars Program, though kidney illness prevented his taking up that position.
