George Fraser

George Fraser was an Edinburgh-born musician and church organist, who wrote some of the best songs published by MRA/Initiatives of Change. While he wrote the music, his friend John Morrison, an Edinburgh church minister, wrote the words. George never married and towards the end of his life he was involved with the Up With People movement and its colourful musical theatre production, in the USA. He was living at the MRA centre on Macinac Island, Michigan, in the 1960s when he suffered a heart attack. He died sitting up in bed with a morning cup of tea in his hand.
