Rosemary (Phelps) was born and grew up in UK. She has been a voluntary worker with MRA/IofC since leaving school.  At the Westminster Theatre in London she did drama training with Howard Reynolds, then travelled  for four years mainly in Europe and Asia with the musical revue Anything to Declare? She acted in and directed other theatre productions on the road and in the Caux theatre. Later Rosemary worked in Germany and in Eastern Europe with Peter, her Australian husband, as a part of the Foundations for Freedom programme. She speaks German.

In Australia, she has been a facilitator in IofC programmes and courses (eg Studies in Effective Living, Life Matters, Creators of Peace) and organised conferences and seminars. She and Peter hosted one of the IofC centres in Sydney for 32 years. She served as an International IofC Elder for several years.

Rosemary has training in Counselling, and has tutored Public Speaking. She and Peter now live in Canberra where she volunteers interviewing and assisting clients in a church emergency relief centre. She and Peter have three adult children and four grandchildren.
